Amish-Inspired Quilts for Today's Home - Sunday Picnic

This is the final quilt from my latest book for C&T Publishing.  This quilt also appears in multiple size options for you.  I named this quilt Sunday Picnic because the blocks reminded me of children running around with pinwheels. I changed up the fabric placement and used a print from the back ground and a solid-look for the other piecing.  I used Moda Grunge fabrics for the solids.

I hope your enjoyed the sneak peak I have provided of the last few weeks.  Don't forget you can still pre-order your copy at the C&T website for shipment next week. And I will be selecting a luck winner for a signed copy of the book.  Watch for the post of the winner next week.

Amish-Inspired Quilts for Today's Home - In Full Bloom

In Full Bloom is another quilt that is available in multiple sizes.  The quilt pictured below is the Queen-size quilt.  This quilt will be quick to piece with 24" finished blocks. Just think, you can make a Crib-size quilt with two blocks and a couple of borders!

This quilt features fabric by Tula Pink and was quilted by David Hurd.

Amish-Inspired Quilts for Today's Home - Square Dance

Here is an easy quilt called Square Dance.  It uses my sashing strips and a traditional square in a square block. This quilt is also patterned in sizes from a crib to king size. As  you can see from the two quilts below, these patters work great with just about any fabric you choose. You can see that my pattern testers used the same colors but one chose a modern fabric and the other chose to use batiks. It will be fun to see what others use to create their quilts.

Amish-Inspired Quilts for Today's Home - House on the Prairie

Today I would like to share with you my House on the Prairie Quilt.  I created this house block on-point and it's an easy block to piece with squares and half-square triangles.

For the fabrics I used the Palette collection by Marcia Derse for Windham Fabrics and Robert Kaufman Effervescence for the back ground fabric.
